- Assisted Living is boring
- I will lose my independence or ability to make decisions or that you may even lose your right to keep your car or your ability to drive
- Your family or loved ones may have limited access to you here as a resident
Here are the top three misconceptions about moving into a senior care community:
- Assisted living is boring: This is false. We have a full-time activities director and a calendar full of social, physical, and emotional activities for seniors at all different levels, running all day long, seven days a week.
- I will lose my independence or ability to make decisions, or I may lose my right to keep my car or ability to drive: This is false. You are able to drive, and we have reserved parking spots for our residents. You have the same rights living here in assisted living as you do in the outside world.
- Your family and loved ones may have limited access to you: This is not true. We do not have visiting hours. This is our residents' home, so visitors, families, and guests are welcome here 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
